Ondansetron is an effective antiemetic without the side-effects of the other medications. Ranitidine improves the action of Ondan- setron, by increasing PH and reducing the contents of the stomach. Conclusion: The prophylactic use of antiemetics, during lower ab- dominal surgery with spinal anaesthesia, is important.
